  Advisory Committee

Meet the leaders shaping the Smart Cities Connect Conference experience.

The Smart Cities Connect Conference Advisory Committee brings together a curated group of city leaders, practitioners, and ecosystem partners helping guide the direction of the conference program and broader community conversations.

Advisory Committee members play an active role in ensuring Smart Cities Connect Conference remains relevant, practical, collaborative, and valuable for attendees.

Through ongoing collaboration with the TechConnect team, the committee helps identify the topics, challenges, case studies, and voices that matter most to cities today. Their input helps shape sessions that move beyond theory and toward implementation, operational lessons, and meaningful peer exchange.

   Why the Advisory Committee Matters

Smart city challenges are evolving quickly, and the most valuable conversations come directly from the people navigating them in real time.

The Advisory Committee helps ensure the conference reflects:

  • Real-world city priorities and implementation challenges
  • Emerging trends and technologies impacting communities
  • Practical lessons learned from deployments and partnerships
  • Balanced perspectives from municipalities, industry, academia, and non-profits
  • High-quality, engaging sessions designed for meaningful attendee value

Committee Responsibilities

Advisory Committee members support Smart Cities Connect Conference through activities such as:

  • Recommending timely and relevant program themes
  • Identifying important city challenges and emerging focus areas
  • Suggesting speakers, case studies, and panel concepts
  • Providing perspective on attendee interests and industry shifts
  • Supporting thoughtful, practical, and inclusive conversations
  • Helping foster connections across municipalities, industry, academia, and government
Interested in Participating?

The Smart Cities Connect Advisory Committee is intentionally limited in size to encourage meaningful engagement and collaboration.

Committee participation is primarily by invitation; however, we welcome recommendations and expressions of interest from individuals actively contributing to the advancement of smart, connected, and sustainable communities.
