Monday, October 7: 1:00pm – 4:00pm (Registration is free, but limited to pre-registered conference city representatives)
Smart Columbus is the Smart City initiative for the Columbus Region. As the winner of the U.S. Department of Transportation's (USDOT) first-ever Smart City Challenge, Columbus was awarded $50 million in grant funding and the designation as America's Smart City. Since 2016, we have learned, iterated, grown, and partnered to ensure the success and sustainment of the Smart Columbus initiative, which starts with realizing the power of data through the Smart Columbus Operating System.
The Smart Columbus Operating system serves as the technological heartbeat of all current and future smart city projects. It helps measure the performance and progress of the USDOT grant initiatives. It shares data that will inspire entrepreneurs and developers to create Columbus' mobility services of the future. It fuels the technology deployments within the US Department of Transportation Smart City Challenge grant scope. The SCOS is an Open Source platform to ensure replicability, sustainability and portability. We want other cities to use the Smart Columbus Operating System and tailor it to fit their needs.
Join Smart Columbus for a city to city workshop to learn how your city can leverage the power of data and the Smart Columbus Playbook.
