Dr. Andrew Duvall is a transportation behavior analyst in the Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He serves as a project lead for several mobility projects, including research in the US Department of Energy’s SMART Mobility efforts to understand emerging transportation trends. He is the PI for micromobility research within the DOE SMART program, exploring micromobility technologies and practices, which include shared bicycles, e-scooters, e-bikes, and other very light EVs. Dr. Duvall leads projects within the DOE Technologist in Community program, focusing on energy and mobility outcomes in workforce, automation, electrification, and rural contexts. Dr. Duvall served for two years as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Kyrgyzstan.
