Hurst Renner is a Director of Public Policy and Smart City Partnerships at Rubicon, a digital marketplace for waste and recycling, and provider of innovative software-based solutions to businesses and governments worldwide. Hurst’s professional background is in public policy, external affairs, and communications, spanning both public and private sectors. In his role at Rubicon, he is jointly responsible for growing RUBICONSmartCity™ partnerships with municipalities and conducting legislative analysis. Prior to joining Rubicon, Hurst worked at the Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress, a non-partisan think tank in Washington, D.C., where he held roles throughout the organization related to operations, public policy, external relations, communications, and development.
