Ion Smart Cities Accelerator

Christine Galib serves as the Senior Director of Accelerator Programs at the Ion.  In this role, she directs the Ion Smart Cities Accelerator.  Backed by Microsoft and Intel, the Ion Smart Cities Accelerator collaborates with the City of Houston and TX/RX, a non-profit makerspace.  Previously, Ms. Galib co-founded a successful investment management group on Wall Street; founded Plan My Plate to offer workshops on stress management, wellness, and mindfulness; served as a Teach For America Corps Member; co-founded Bridges to Wealth, a social enterprise closing the wealth gap through teaching business literacy, entrepreneurship, and investing; worked on projects for the U.S. Department of Education; and designed and directed the Entrepreneurship Diploma, a high school degree-granting program that enables students to take business and entrepreneurship related coursework and graduate high school having held an internship and launched their own business.

Ms. Galib holds her AB from Princeton University, MSEd from the University of Pennsylvania, and has completed premedical coursework.  She is a Doctoral Candidate at Drexel University, studying Educational Leadership, Management, Creativity, and Innovation.  She speaks and writes on creativity, entrepreneurship, wellness, leadership, and creating strategic and sustainable cultures, systems, and ecosystems of innovation.
