Staci Pies is Vice President, Government and Regulatory Affairs for Crown Castle. Staci helps develop and lead efforts around Crown Castle’s federal legislative and regulatory priorities as the company builds and maintains the infrastructure behind the world’s most revolutionary technologies.
Staci has more than 25 years of experience providing strategic counsel on technology and telecommunications issues. Before joining Crown Castle inAugust 2019, Staci led connectivity policy and advocacy for Google for five years. Her experience includes leading state government affairs at Skype, including after the acquisition by Microsoft. Before joining Skype in 2008, Staci lead federal affairs at PointOne, a wholesale VoIP provider, and Level 3 Communications (now part of CenturyLink) after serving in leadership roles at the FCC.
Staci is a Board member of the United Way of the National Capital Area and the Greater Washington Board of Trade. She is a committed participant and fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Staci earned a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Pepperdine University. She lives in Rockville, Maryland with her husband and son when he is home visiting from Ann Arbor, MI.
