Lemuel Hancock is the Urban Designer and Neighborhood Planner for the Town of Woodstock, Virginia. He leads urban forestry, design, and infrastructure projects that blend innovative techniques with traditional town planning. Lemuel works to bring creative landscape typologies that evoke a public desire for interaction with and in the public realm. By blending form and function these otherwise overlooked or underused landscapes become community destinations. Before joining the Woodstock team, he was a Project Manager for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA).  While at NORA he implemented alternative land use strategies to activate community spaces in new ways. He holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech and a BA from the College of William and Mary.
