Anthony (Cassillo) Willingham is a policy analyst at the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) primarily responsible for the Department’s policy toward transportation electrification, autonomous vehicle testing, and congestion management.
Originally from New York City, he moved to Washington D.C. in 2009 to attend American University. From 2013 to 2019, he worked for the Council of the District of Columbia where he worked on legislation that expanded electric vehicle charging infrastructure, transformed the collection of parking-related debts, and reformed commuter transit benefits to encourage sustainable forms of transportation. Coming full circle, after joining DDOT in July of 2019, he had the opportunity to see implemented some of these pieces of legislation, particularly the ones pertaining to EV charging and commuter benefits. Anthony lives in Washington D.C. along the H St Corridor just off the D.C. Streetcar line. When he is not working on transportation policy, he can usually be found running along the National Mall, analyzing local election polls, or refereeing intramural dodgeball games.
