Rebecca Hunter is a leader in telecommunications and connectivity fields with over 20years of industry experience. Her breadth of roles and expertise over her tenure has made her a recognized thought leader in the Smart Community, Transportation and Broadband areas. She is considered a subject matter expert for industry’s leading wireless and smart community conference panels. Hunter is passionate about building collaborative relationships and ecosystems that bring public, private and academic sectors together to find meaningful solutions that solve real world challenges.
Rebecca currently serves as Vice President of Smart Communities for Aero Wireless Group where she is responsible for leading the company’s initiatives in around connected smart infrastructure within various verticals, including the public sector, transportation and utilities. Prior to joining Aero Wireless Group, Rebecca served as the External Strategist for Crown Castle’s Corporate Development and Strategy group, developing growth opportunities for the company’s municipal customers and leading legislative outreach to bring forth emerging technologies.
Hunter has served on the Boards of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) where she is still a valued contributor. She is also an active member of Smart Cities Council, Wireless Industry Association (WIA), CTIA Smart Cities and Technology Working Group, US Conference of Mayors, among others.
She holds a Master of Business Administration from Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Florida.
