Anthony Brock is an intense competitor who takes great pride in giving his best each and every day.
After graduating college from East Texas State in 1982 with a degree in Industry and Technology, he
played professional football for five years as a linebacker with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the
Canadian Football League and the USFL’s Houston Gamblers team that featured future Hall of
Fame quarterback Jim Kelly. He then took his competitive spirit to the business world.
After working as a supervisor for Arco Petro Company, Anthony began his career in the financial
services industry with Dean Witter Reynolds in 1990. During the past 25 years in financial services,
Anthony has held positions with MGSI Securities, CIBC Oppenheimer, and as an Executive
Director at Morgan Stanley. He joined Cantella & Co., Inc. in August 2014.
Rather than be good at all aspects of investing, Anthony chose early in his career to specialize in
fixed income investing and be great at helping his clients solve their income needs. He advises
institutional clients in the organization and acquisition of their debt instruments, with a focus on
U.S. Treasury notes and bonds, government agencies, CMOs, mortgage-backed securities (GNMAs,
FNMAs and FHLMCs), and investment grade corporate bonds. His broad array of clients include municipalities, insurance companies, banks, credit unions, investment advisors, fund managers,
school districts and utility companies.
Two words characterize Anthony: Leadership and Transparency. He is well-respected in the industry
for his ability to go the extra mile, not only meeting but exceeding client expectations. He
appreciates the importance of knowing each customer individually, forging successful, long-term
partnerships through his expert, personalized approach to achieving their investment objectives.
This personal attention is indicative of Anthony's business philosophy and proactive style.
Anthony is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and holds Series 7

Organization of Texas (GTOT), Government Investment Officers Association (GIOA), North
Carolina Local Government Investment Association (NCLGIA), and the Treasurers & Management
