Eric Montag holds BSEE and MSEE degrees and is a registered professional engineer.
Mr. Montag has been with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for the last 18 years. He has worked in project and construction management where he was involved or responsible for over $1.3 Billion in new power system capital projects, including a gas fired repowering project, the Department’s only solely owned, built, and operating wind farm, a high voltage transmission line and switching stations, and a new distributing station.
As senior manager, he was responsible for the Department’s Transportation Electrification program, Solar and Energy Storage programs, Demand Response Program, participation in the CAISO Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) and established the 100% Renewable Energy Study (LA100).
Currently Mr. Montag is oversees the Department’s Distribution Design and Planning as well as Engineering Support groups.
