Amie Hendrix serves as the Deputy County Administrator of Innovation and Performance Management for Tompkins County, New York. She came to work in local government via the non-profit sector. When the opportunity to serve as the Director of Tompkins County Youth Services came along in 2010 she entered the world of local government and has continued her career with Tompkins County.
Her desire to blend community building, innovation, human resource development, and business metrics while furthering an inclusive workplace climate has allowed her to lead and support others in their roles of planners, evaluators, and funders..
Amie earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Niagara University and her Masters in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College, both degrees continue to come in handy in the Public Sector. When she is not at work Amie can be found hiking with her two Labrador Retrievers.
