Megan Day is a Senior Energy Planner at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where she serves as the lab’s subject matter expert on state and local energy planning and large-scale solar development. She led the development of city energy profiles for more than 23,400 U.S. cities through the Cities Leading through Energy Analysis and Planning (Cities-LEAP) project, with data available on the State and Local Energy Data site and is currently leading NREL’s development of the State and Local Planning for Energy (SLOPE) platform. Megan is a certified urban and regional planner and with previous experience as the director of a nonprofit, the leader of a climate action planning and emission inventory process. She is also a Senior Project Planner at a utility-scale solar development company.
