Melissa McMahon, AICP, is Transportation Research and Site Plan Development Manager for Arlington County, Virginia’s Commuter Services Bureau. She oversees the conditions development, design, and monitoring of transportation demand management in new development projects and the County’s TDM research program housed in Mobility LabTM. Melissa supports shared-use mobility and transportation performance measurement initiatives for the County. Melissa lives in nearby Alexandria, Virginia, and as a resident there serves on Alexandria’s Planning and Transportation commissions. Melissa holds an undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and master degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
