Robert supports hundreds of First Transit existing and new customers in guiding the implementation of Automated, Connected, Electric, and Shared (ACES) vehicles in multi-modal operations around the country. These include operations and maintenance of fixed and on-demand service at transit agencies, universities and airports. Coordinate Mobility as a Services (MaaS) in Smart Cities implementing emerging mobility solutions.
Robert has 30 years of technology and engineering experience in areas such as autonomous vehicle applications, transportation research and multi-modal trip planning analysis. Robert was most recently at HNTB as the Chief Engineer of Emerging Mobility. Previously, he was Director Technology Services for 12 years at New Jersey Transit.
Robert earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland and a master of science in electrical engineering from John Hopkins University. James has five children and resides with his wife in Odessa, FL.
