Tyler Svitak has built his career solving problems at the intersection of technology and urbanism. As the Executive Director of the Colorado Smart Cities Alliance, Tyler leads a coalition of public and private organizations committed to solving today’s problems with tomorrow’s way of thinking. Tyler’s role is to grow the Alliance by identifying the appropriate partner and technology to address a member city’s problem, facilitating the successful execution of a solution, and growing the solution across regions and municipal boundaries through collaboration and transparency.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Tyler held strategic roles at the Colorado Department of Transportation, the City and County of Denver, and the American Lung Association in Colorado where he accelerated the deployment of new transportation technologies like electric, connected, and automated vehicles to solve problems like transportation safety, climate change, and air pollution. He’s developed or managed public-private partnerships both large and small, and he understands how to bridge the divide between government and enterprise to identify mutually beneficial projects that make cities smarter and their people better-off.Colorado Smart Cities Alliance
