Mandy Bishop serves as Smart Columbus Program Manager. Mandy joined the City of Columbus in July 2017, bringing 19 years of industry experience with an emphasis on large, complex project management. Mandy is responsible for the delivery of the Smart Columbus Operating System, systems engineering documentation, interagency coordination, contracting and partner selection as well as all other aspects of the USDOT and Paul G. Allen grant funded Smart Columbus program. Prior to the City of Columbus, Mandy was a Senior Project Manager with GPD Group managing over $100 million in public improvements in the Bridge Street District for the City of Dublin and served as the Project Manager for the Smart Columbus – Decarbonization & Electrification project for the City. Additionally, Mandy served as the staff lead for Governor Strickland’s 21st Century Priorities Task Force and later as Deputy Director of Planning for ODOT managing Environmental Services, Technical Services, Transit, Systems Planning and other functions at the department.
Mandy holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a Registered Ohio Professional Engineer and Surveyor Intern. Mandy is also a WTS, Columbus Engineers Club and ASHE member.
