Heather Bolick is the Energy and Sustainability Coordinator with the City of Charlotte. She measures and ensures progressive energy and sustainability targets for City-owned facilities. Ms. Bolick’s responsibilities include maintaining the City’s energy database, analyzing and reporting on energy utilization, and identifying opportunities for energy-efficient improvements. She chairs the Sustainable Facilities Oversight Team, which works to make sustainability a priority in building design, construction and renovation of City-owned and maintained facilities. Ms. Bolick also serves as the American Cities Climate Challenge On-Site Renewables Team Lead. Her experience includes environmental consulting, energy management in schools, residential energy auditing, supervising an energy sector workforce development program, and managing a neighborhood energy grant.
Ms. Bolick graduated in 1998 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and in 2005 received a M.S. in Earth Science, Environmental Systems Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She holds the designation of professional energy manager. In addition to Ms. Bolick’s role with the City of Charlotte she is an adjunct faculty member with the Sustainable Technologies Program at Central Piedmont Community College. Ms. Bolick also volunteers with the USGBC Charlotte Events + Programs Working Group.
