Mr. Butts joined IBM after graduating from Texas A&M University in 1988.
Mr. Butts was hired by AT&T in 1993 and was AT&T Labs Executive Director where he had global responsibility for all AT&T VPN and Remote Access Development.
Mr. Butts left AT&T in 2006 to start Accelerated Concepts, Inc., a company specializing in enterprise cellular data. Mr. Butts had responsibility for all Accelerated Technology and overall direction.
After Digi International acquired Accelerated Concepts in 2018, Mr. Butts took a role as the VP in the Digi Product Management team.
