Robert Hubbard, a San Diego resident, is the Ecosystem Channel Manager of Cisco's Smart Cities & IoT business. Hubbard joined Cisco in 2016 to lead a dramatic leap forward in the way Digital Transformation technologies are leveraged and consumed in the public and private sector.  Since then, he has formed key alliances to deliver line of business solutions for clients, establish new economic models and routes to market.  His team has been involved in many of the Cisco “Lighthouse City” projects in the United States.

Prior to joining Cisco, Hubbard led the development of HPE's Big Data Channel in the Americas.  His work brought big data analytics, governance and compliance capabilities to HPE’s go to market strategy through Service Providers, Urban Operators, SI's, Developers, Resellers and Consultants.  Starting in the private sector with some of the largest clients in the Bay Area then moving on to develop public sector and federal markets.

Hubbard started his career as a United States Marine before moving to the civilian sector.  He has been involved in information management and technology for 30 years.
