Aaron is a 20-year digital technology and media executive with a broad base of C-Level operational and strategic experience at the intersection of media, telecom and technology across the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Aaron previously served as CEO and President of public and private companies including President of Gemstar TV Guide (NASDAQ: GMST), CEO of TVN Entertainment and President of SoftNet Systems (NASDAQ: SOFN). Aaron’s operating expertise includes building and managing global engineering and sales teams, major restructurings, turnarounds, startups and leading more than $1 billion of public and private financings.
Aaron began his career in R&D and Product Development at GTE residing both domestically and in Japan. Aaron has advised private equity and venture capital-backed firms in the areas of mobile, telecom and video infrastructure, digital mapping and application development.
Aaron has served as director and chairman of various telecom, media and technology companies globally including Eagleview-Pictometry, SoftNet, TVN, Netgame and VDIO. He is a frequent speaker at telecom, CATV, mobile, digital media and investment banking conferences.
Aaron graduated from the University of Illinois with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Communications. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
