As a Network Implementation Manager, Jason focuses on the architecture and strategy for large service proposals, in an effort to define efficiencies and cost saving measures. Jason Mackel is responsible for meeting the needs of Nokia Networks’ customers in the region by developing services sales strategy, leading the services development and solutions teams to create service offerings, and supporting services sales engagements throughout the market. Nokia’s services business includes Care, Network Implementation, Systems Integration, Network Planning & Optimization, and Managed Services.
Jason has over 18 years in the wireless telecom industry. The majority of Jason’s efforts have been concentrated on the physical buildout of network infrastructure, from tower sites to small cell deployments. Over the past several years, quite a bit of Jason’s focus has been centered on the deployment of DAS and small networks in the public right-of-way and large public venues. Over the past few years, he has concentrated on building Nokia’s service portfolio to accommodate small cell and 5G networks.
A good portion of Jason’s work throughout his career has focused on site acquisition and zoning for both macro and DAS builds. Jason has successfully managed the deployment of several large DAS deployments throughout the US, as well as multiple nationwide macro/RAN deployments. Early in his career, Jason managed the turn-key deployment of Greenfield tower sites across the US.
Prior to joining Nokia, Jason held various management positions with Tier 1 wireless providers, as well as Major Tower Companies
Jason holds a BSBA, Business Administration and Business Law from Western Carolina University. He is based at Fort Lauderdale, FL.
