Andrea Foard, AICP, LEED AP BD+C, serves as the Transit Division Manager/Deputy Director for the Cobb County Department of Transportation (DOT).  In this role, she manages the contracted daily operations and maintenance for the county’s public transportation system, CobbLinc, and plans for system enhancement and expansion.  Andrea has nearly 15 years of experience in the delivery of transportation, transit, environmental, and residential/commercial real estate development projects.  Prior to joining Cobb County DOT last May, she worked for a leading engineering consulting firm where she performed planning and public involvement services for MARTA, SRTA, GDOT, the Atlanta BeltLine, the Atlanta Regional Commission, and Cobb County.

 

Andrea received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and Master’s in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech.  She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Development from Georgetown University. Andrea is certified as a professional planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and credentialed by the USGBC as a LEED Accredited Professional with specialty in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C).  In addition to serving at the current COMTO Atlanta Chapter President, she is an AICP Director-At-Large for the Georgia Chapter of the American Planning Association, a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), and is active in various other civic and community organizations.
