Rob Davies’s background is in Investment Banking technology, both infrastructure and IT security. He is a recovering network engineer - his first network engineering qualification was back in the 1990s, long before smart phones and Wi-Fi. Rob was paid to travel the world, building and fixing systems and networks, and then graduated into the world of Technical Information Security which added application security to his technical CV. Which then felt a little lop-sided, so he gained an MBA and PRINCE2 (UK project management qualification).
With this unusual range of technical and business capabilities his roles became more senior, and they became more international, taking C-suite roles in the Middle East, Europe and NA. Most notably as CTO he was responsible for delivering the technology for the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas $4Bn casino resort.
Rob’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and he then built his own UK IT consulting company, Global-DTC, which gained immediate traction with the likes of HSBC, consulting on target operating models for IT security and Operations. This company was acquired by Stealth-ISS Group in exchange for the CEO position and a seat on the board. That’s when he moved to the US permanently.
As CEO, in 2018 he made the strategic decision to enter the US Federal space. He opened an office and hired a great team in Huntsville, AL – Rocket City (think Saturn V), and teamed with some of the best names in Federal contracting, for agencies and departments you most definitely have heard of.
Rob guided Stealth-ISS to two consecutive years on the Inc.500 list, a top 10 position in the Vet-50, and various other company and personal awards including CEO of the year (CEO Monthly and Livewire) .
Most recently Rob has founded a new company, Total Security Global Inc., with a stellar board of advisors, the mission of which is to protect critical infrastructure. Stealth-ISS has a rich history in this space, including Smart Cities internationally, so it made sense to him to join physical and cyber security together in one place, incorporating the dimensions of people, process, technology and governance, for the awareness and benefit of citizens worldwide. His new book focused on critical infrastructure, “The Safety of Things”, will be available at the end of 2024
