Dr. Miha Vindis is a professor, program director, and practitioner whose work focuses on leadership, public-sector innovation, workforce development, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. He serves as Director of the Texas Certified Public Manager Program at Texas State University, where he leads a statewide professional development program for public and nonprofit managers. Through the CPM program, he works with local governments, state agencies, and public-sector leaders to strengthen management capacity, improve organizational performance, and prepare professionals for emerging challenges. Dr. Vindis also teaches at Texas State University and The University of Texas at Austin, where he integrates AI, strategic thinking, organizational behavior, and applied problem-solving into undergraduate, graduate, and professional education. His current work examines how organizations can adopt AI in ways that improve productivity and service delivery while preserving judgment, critical thinking, accountability, and public trust. He is developing new educational and applied initiatives focused on AI literacy, workforce readiness, and responsible implementation in government. He frequently speaks with public officials, educators, and practitioners about the future of work and the role of universities and professional programs in helping leaders navigate technological change. His approach emphasizes practical experimentation, ethical adoption, and human-centered leadership across Texas and beyond.
