Alireza Yazdiani is a Ph.D. researcher in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University and a member of the Center for Transportation, Environment, and Community Health (CTECH), where he works under Professor H. Oliver Gao. His research transforms the extensive, high-resolution travel-demand datasets and vehicle-activity data already collected by public agencies into practical analytical and decision-support tools.
He is a member of TEAM, the Transportation and Environment Analysis Model, a cloud-scale platform that delivers link-level, hour-by-hour emissions estimates and now powers TEAM-NYC in production with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council. He is also a contributor to uTECH, an AI-driven urban digital-twin ecosystem that extends fine-resolution transportation, emissions, and air-quality analysis to cities nationwide. Through the Cornell–NYMTC partnership, his work focuses on moving advanced congestion, emissions, and air-quality modeling from research into the everyday workflows of transportation agencies.
