Courtney Falato is the Smart Cities Relationship Director at The Ohio State University. In this role, she leads the university’s engagement with Smart Columbus, as well as the university’s smart campus initiative. Ms. Falato’s background spans K12 and higher education, with the common thread being researching and leading disruptive innovations in educational systems. Ms. Falato previously served as the Chief Innovation Officer for Dublin City Schools, Director of Innovation in Reynoldsburg City Schools, Associate Project Director at the University of Chicago’s Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education, Associate Director of STEM Projects at the Battelle Center for Mathematics and Science Education Policy at The Ohio State University, and an eduation researcher at American Insituttes for Research (AIR) in Washington DC. Ms. Falato received her B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University and earned an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia.
