Salil has 38 years of experience in Planning, Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Treatment Plants. He spent the first 18 Years of his career as a consultant designing plants ranging in size from small package plants to those over a 100 mgd, including several nutrient removal facilities in NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, and CA. He spent the next 20 years with DC Water in various roles including Director of Process Engineering and Director of Operations, building a Process Engineering Team, and leading the operational interface for conversion of Blue Plains AWWTP to a fully automated facility leading upto being able operate advanced processes such as thermal hydrolysis.
Salil has a BS and MS in engineering, is a registered Professional Engineer, has a Level 4 Operator’s license, and is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional.
