With 22 years of dedicated service to the United States Air Force and a Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) designation, MSgt Hernandez is not just shaping the future of fleet management—he’s defining it.
Currently serving as the Vehicle Management Superintendent for the 11th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington D.C., MSgt Hernandez oversees an extensive fleet of 228 vehicles, including 79 Air Force-owned and 149 government-leased assets.
He manages over $200 million in resources, leading a highly skilled team of 30 professionals who deliver mission-critical logistics support to elite organizations like the Air Force Honor Guard, the Air Force Band, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the White House Communications Agency, Marine One, and the Secret Service.
MSgt Hernandez’s influence extends far beyond his base of operations. From providing logistics support to 74 mission partners in the National Capital Region to enabling global operations for the Air Force District of Washington, he’s been instrumental in ensuring operational excellence and vehicle readiness for some of the nation’s most sensitive and high-profile missions.
Throughout his distinguished career, MSgt Hernandez has been a key figure in evolving the role of vehicle management within the Air Force. He has held pivotal leadership roles, including Manager of the Air Force Forces Transportation Training Center in Europe, where he honed his skills in international fleet logistics.
