Nick Reese is a nationally recognized emerging technology executive, keynote speaker, and the founder and CEO of Triantha, a veteran-owned strategy and education firm specializing in AI, quantum computing, space, and cybersecurity. He currently serves as COO and Board Member of Optica Labs, an artificial intelligence stress-testing company, and holds a faculty position at NYU's Center for Global Affairs, where he teaches graduate courses on emerging technology and geopolitics. Nick served as the first-ever Director of Emerging Technology Policy at the US Department of Homeland Security, a role he built from the ground up between 2019 and 2023. In that capacity, he authored multiple executive orders and Cabinet-level policies and advised the White House on critical emerging technology topics spanning artificial intelligence, quantum computing, space systems, and cybersecurity. Prior to DHS, Nick served for more than six years as a member of the US Intelligence Community, and spent nearly a decade as a US Navy Operations Specialist. A prolific thought leader, Nick has contributed to SpaceNews, AFCEA Signal, and the Capco Institute, and has been quoted in Wired, CNBC, Business Insider, the Associated Press, and Puck News, among others. He serves on the Homeland Security Advisory Board at George Washington University and has delivered keynotes and expert briefings for the American Bar Association, Space ISAC, AFCEA International, Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business, the European Security and Defence School, and the US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, among many others.
