Marcus Monroe is a civic strategist and community development leader whose work connects design, public policy, and community development. He serves as Special Program Management Coordinator in the Planning Director’s Office at the Prince George’s County Planning Department, part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), where he leads cross-agency initiatives that align municipalities, community partners, and stakeholders around shared priorities. Trained as an architect and a former elected Councilmember, Marcus has worked across design, preservation, government, technology, and nonprofit leadership. His work centers on building trusted coalitions and advancing place-based strategies that support inclusive growth and stronger neighborhoods.
