Joseph Muhlhausen is Chief of Data Analytics for the City of Baltimore’s Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement. He leads data strategy, governance, and analytics for violence prevention, public safety performance, and interagency decision-making. In this role, he has overhauled the way MONSE and the City of Baltimore log, track, and visualize violence prevention and intervention data. Before joining Baltimore, Joseph led data systems at WeRobotics, overseeing data governance and geospatial strategy across a 33-country network. He also spent five years as a World Bank consultant, advising governments in 15 countries on using geospatial data to improve urban service delivery, transportation access, and public investment. Joseph studied economic and political development at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
