Brian Tegtmeyer,
ENP (Emergency Number Professional), serves as the National 911 Program
Coordinator at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
Office of EMS. With over 30 years of public safety communications experience at
local, state, and national levels, he has served as a 911 dispatcher,
consolidated center executive director, national instructor, and leader within
the Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (IL-TERT and NJTI).
In his federal
role, Brian leads initiatives to advance 911 systems nationwide through four
strategic pillars: improving 911's ability to impact highway safety,
collaborating with multi-sector stakeholders, connecting emergency networks,
and developing shared resources to support local and state public safety
communications.
