Takayuki Suzuki is a Business Intelligence Consultant at Austin Water, where he applies data analytics to advance urban water conservation strategies. His previous experience includes analytical roles at the Chicago Police Department, the Development Bank of Japan, and an ed-tech startup in Tokyo. He brings a cross-cultural perspective to the intersection of data, technology, and urban life. He is also a PhD candidate in Information Studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where his research explores how generative AI shapes people’s emotional connections to place through digital placemaking. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Engineering from the University of Tokyo.
