Christopher (Chris) Shearer is the Public Safety Key Account Manager at Milestone Systems, a role he began in April 2025. In this position, he leads strategic initiatives and partnerships across the public safety sector, applying his extensive law enforcement experience to drive technology adoption and customer success.
Prior to joining Milestone, Chris served as the Mid-Atlantic Account Manager for Faro Technologies beginning in April 2024. Before transitioning to the private sector, he worked as a Class III police officer with the Raritan Township Police Department, assigned to Hunterdon Central High School to support campus safety and security.
Chris retired from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office on December 31, 2022, after 25½ years of public service. His career began at the Somerset County Sheriff's Department and progressed through various leadership roles at the Prosecutor's Office. He served as a detective in the Narcotics Task Force, was promoted to Sergeant, then Lieutenant overseeing the Major Crimes and Sex Crimes Units, and ultimately became Captain, managing both the Narcotics Task Force and Fugitive Unit.
He is a graduate of West Virginia University and the Somerset County Police Academy, and is also a distinguished graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy, Class 275.
