Mike Foley is the Administrator for Cuyahoga Green Energy, Cuyahoga County's new electric utility. Prior to this appointment in 2024 he was the County Sustainability Director from 2015- 2024, and from 2006 -2014 served in the Ohio General Assembly as a Representative from the 14th House District.
Since 2015, Mike has led the County's efforts in developing the County's first Climate Change Action Plan, an award winning 4 Mw landfill solar project, rooftop solar on 4 County facilities, a local residential solar group buying coop with over 400 participants and the creation of Cuyahoga Green Energy - a new utility focusing on renewable and resilient energy microgrid districts.
