Niki Tapia is the Connection & Impact Officer for the City of Chandler, AZ, one of the state's most diverse cities. With over 25 years in public service, she leads Chandler's Connection & Impact Division and spearheaded the City's DEI Strategic Plan, which earned the 2024 ICMA Local Government Excellence Award in Community Equity and Inclusion.
A proud Arizona State University graduate, Niki collaborates with cultural organizations, businesses, nonprofits and more to embed inclusion policies and programs into organizational culture. Recognized as a top Latino Leader in 2023 by the Council for Latino Workplace Equity, she remains dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming community while shaping belonging and engagement efforts in local government nationwide.
