Simo Karppinen is currently VP Products for Scytáles AB. He is working as the Product Owner of the EU Digital Wallet Reference Implementation on behalf of the NiScy consortium.
Simo has more than 20 years of experience with different branches of the Finnish government and working with European counterparts within the EReg (Association of European Vehicle and Driver Registration Authorities) and EUCARIS networks. He was the owner in several large ICT-projects including the first digital and automated registration services in Finland, fully digital and automated driving license services and the Finish pilot project on building a mobile driving license. His last position in the government was Director of the Vehicle and Driver services branch of Traficom (Finnish Transport and Communications Agency)
