Oliver Gao is the Howard Simpson Professor of Engineering and Director of Cornell Systems Engineering at Cornell University. An internationally recognized expert in systems engineering, transportation, environmental health, and sustainability, his research focuses on using data, technology, and systems thinking to create healthier, smarter, and more resilient communities. He also directs the U.S. Department of Transportation's Center for Transportation, Environment, and Community Health (CTECH), leading multidisciplinary research that advances climate-smart infrastructure, mobility, and public health through innovative engineering solutions.
