Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)(DHS)

At the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) National Risk Management Center (NRMC), Laura Hershon oversees the identification of technology risks and development of mitigation strategies to defend the nation’s critical infrastructure from those risks. In that capacity, she serves as the DHS lead for Executive Order 14017 – America’s Supply Chains and is responsible for the delivery of artificial intelligence (AI) sector risk assessments for Executive Order 14110 – Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of AI. 

Mrs. Hershon also provides oversight of CISA’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Supply Chain Risk Management Task Force, the nation’s preeminent public-private supply chain risk management partnership, which is entrusted with the critical mission of identifying and developing consensus strategies that enhance ICT supply chain security. Furthermore, Mrs. Hershon leads the NRMC’s effort to enhance the security and resilience of municipalities deploying converged information and operational technologies through product development and stakeholder engagement. 

Mrs. Hershon has over 20 years of financial and operational experience, including investment and underwriting roles at Federal Realty Investment Trust, CarrAmerica Realty Investment Trust, and Deutsche Bank.

Mrs. Hershon holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delaware.
