Dave is currently the Chief of Development at NUAIR responsible for generating business and planning the long-range capabilities necessary to support the continued commercialization of Unmanned Aeriel Systems (UAS).  This role supports NUAIR’s objective to facilitate the use of UAS to improve safety and efficiency of transportation while creating new employment opportunities in New York.  Previously, Dave was the Director of Programs at Gryphon Sensors, a commercial subsidiary of SRC, Inc. focused on the application of advanced surveillance and communications technologies in support of commercial UAS operations.  

Dave spent nine years leading a RF design and fabrication organization growing doubling the revenue of the organization through acquisition and organic growth including expanding technology to new applications and environments including commercial space.  Dave spent the first 25 years of his career in various business leadership, engineering leadership, and engineering development roles in the air traffic management and defense markets.  A system engineer by training, Dave has a BSEE from the University of Connecticut specializing in communications systems and digital processing, an MSEE from Syracuse University specializing in electronic sensor engineering, and an MBA from Syracuse University focused on innovation and management.  Dave is a graduate of the General Electric Advanced Course in Engineering and enjoys coaching young people in his spare time.
