Umair Surani is an energy and sustainability professional with 13+ years of experience in decarbonizing the built environment and commercializing cleantech. Umair is an innovator, technologist, and strategist – he has helped accelerate the adoption of nascent technologies such as heat pumps and city-scale digital twins.
Umair’s career is a testament to bridging cultures, between policy and implementation, and tradition and innovation. Umair currently serves as a Sr Account Executive for McKinstry and as an independent commercialization consultant to cleantech startups. Education: BSc in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech and MBA from SMU.
