Dan Mathers

As President and CEO of eleven-x, Dan is responsible for the vision and growth of the company, which is an industry leading IoT and Smart City technology company focused on improving the parking experience for all with its award-winning, smart parking technology solution, eXactpark™. He has a proven executive management track record and more than 35 years of experience driving the development of various technology ventures, ranging from start-ups to multinationals, creating more than $1 billion in shareholder value.

Dan is also an active member of the innovation ecosystem as General Partner in Stand-up Ventures, a Toronto-based, seed stage venture capital fund focused on investing in high growth technology ventures. Previously, he was one of the founding partners of the Investment Accelerator Fund, one of Canada’s largest seed stage investment funds, where he was responsible for driving investments in hardware and software start-ups, particularly those developing Internet of Things devices/services.

Dan started his career at IBM, where he held various positions during a ten-year career, including being part of the founding leadership team at Celestica Inc, a Canadian multinational electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company that was spun out of IBM. Dan then served as Senior VP & General Manager of the Semiconductor Division at MOSAID Technologies before branching out to lead several technology start-ups. Dan serves as a Board of Director and Advisory Board member to for-profit and not-for-profit organizations across various industry sectors including TitanFile, ODAIA and among others REMAP.

He earned an MBA from York University’s Shulich School of Business, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University and holds a professional engineering license from the Professional Engineers Ontario Association.
