Dawn Oleksy is the Energy Program Manager for the City of Richmond’s Office of Sustainability with over 25 years of experience across all sectors in the field of environmental sustainability including 12 years of experience in energy management for local governments. Dawn oversees Richmond’s Energy Management Program where she works with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative projects and strategic initiatives in alignment with the RVAgreen Climate Equity Action Plan in order to meet long-term net zero carbon emissions and climate resilience goals. Dawn is a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers and an Envision Sustainability Professional through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. She holds a MBA from Syracuse University, a MS in Environmental Science from SUNY-ESF, and a BA in Biology from Hollins University.
